In the days before Cottage Point was accessible by road, the General Store provided local residents, fishermen and travelling sailors with basic provisions essential for survival. Today, the Store is well equipped with modern age supplies but the quaint ambiance still captures the essence of a bygone era.

GROCERIES

We stock a wide variety of groceries ranging from ice creams, cold drinks and sweet treats for the day trippers, to staples for the locals and boaties such as milk, bread, fruit, vegetables and other common grocery items. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, just let us know and we’ll do what we can to source it for you.

BEER, WINE AND SPIRITS

The General Store has an off-premise liquor licence so you can purchase alcohol to have here or take away to your home or boat. If you are dining at the Café and purchase your wine and beer from us we’ll provide an ice bucket and glasses free of charge. We have a range of spirits, beer and alcohol including our exclusive St Tropez French rose and white wines.

BOATING ESSENTIALS

Yes, we sell ice and we proudly stock Windybanks bait and tackle. We also have a small range of chandlery items for unexpected boating emergencies such as first aid kits, basic medical supplies, batteries, torches, bungs, buckets and boat hooks.
